Happy weekend, everyone!
I’ve been embarking on some major organizing projects lately, and the house has been turned upside down. No matter that this time of year is particularly nuts— I’m whipping out the garbage bags and organizing bins anyway. Hopefully, I’ll have it all under control by Sunday, when we’re having friends over for dinner to celebrate the Jewish New Year. I’ve found that impending guests are great motivation for getting the house together, and having the deadline means that piles won’t languish in the hallways for long.
This all has me thinking about that first point of entry to your home: The front door. And after yesterday’s smart lock smackdown, I thought I’d go ahead and paint the full picture. Here’s my imagining of the ultimate set-up: It’s inviting as well as functional on both sides of the entry. Plus, there’s a gadget or two to help you stay safe and automate. Oh, and a sassy doormat, as if to say, “no one in this house takes things too seriously.”
Enjoy the first in my Tech @ Home series! Let me know what else you’d add to the scene!
